Thermal Products and Heatec were asked to design a hot oil system or thermal oil heating system to heat molds and presses for an update New York door manufacturer. The requirements from the customer included a 1.75 million btu/hr heat load with a oil flow rate range of 140 gpm to 175 gpm with an thermal oil outlet temperature of 347F. The Heatec design included ASME Code Section VIII.
The Heatec HCS-175 thermal oil heater included the following equipment on the package offered:
